The Indian rupee on Friday closed weaker against the US dollar for a second consecutive session, tracking losses in the Asian currencies market.

The home currency closed at 66.48, down 0.13% from its previous close of 66.40. The rupee opened at 66.51 and touched a high and a low of 66.47 and 66.60, respectively in intraday trade.
