The Indian rupee on Thursday was trading little changed against the US dollar, tracking weak local equity markets.

The home currency was trading at 66.46, down 0.01% from its previous close of 66.45. The rupee opened at 66.38 a dollar and touched a high and a low of 66.38 and 66.51, respectively.

India’s benchmark Sensex index fell 1.24% or 322.46 points to 25,741.66. So far this year, Sensex is down 1.4%.
