The Indian rupee on Thursday was trading little changed against the US dollar, tracking weak local equity markets.

The home currency was trading at 66.46, down 0.01% from its previous close of 66.45. The rupee opened at 66.38 a dollar and touched a high and a low of 66.38 and 66.51, respectively.

India’s benchmark Sensex index fell 1.24% or 322.46 points to 25,741.66. So far this year, Sensex is down 1.4%.

Public sector lender Allahabad Bank will raise over Rs 57.5 crore by issuing shares on preferential basis to LIC. 

The decision was taken at the bank's extraordinary general meeting held on March 30. 

"Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has agreed to subscribe up to 1,32,44,282 equity shares of the bank on preferential basis subject to their shareholding restricted to 14.50 per cent of the post issue share capital of the Bank," it said in the regulatory filing. 

The issue price of the equity shares proposed to be issued and allotted to LIC on preferential basis has been calculated at Rs 43.42 per equity share, it said. 

"Based on the issue price of the shares, the total capital fund infusion in the bank by LIC would be Rs 57.51 crore", it said. Allahabad Bank stock price On April 18, 2016, Allahabad Bank closed at Rs 55.95, down Rs 0.55, or 0.97 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 110.00 and the 52-week low was Rs 39.50.

The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 0.66 per share as per the quarter ended December 2015. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 84.77. The latest book value of the company is Rs 192.83 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company is 0.29.

The market extended rally in morning with the Sensex climbing 400 points and the Nifty eyeing 7850 level. All sectoral indices continued to be positive, tracking good monsoon forecast, better-than-expected CPI & IIP data and positive global cues. 

The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 398.43 points or 1.58 percent to 25544.02. The 50-share NSE Nifty rose 121.45 points or 1.58 percent to 7830.40 that recovered 1000 points from February low of 6825.

Indian benchmark indices on the last day of this truncated week are likely to open in the green followed by positive cues from the global market. Market indicator SGX Nifty was trading 55 points up at around 7789 at the time of writing. On Tuesday too, the market closed on a positive momentum and the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 123.43 points to 25145.59 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 37.55 points to 7708.95 while the broader markets outperformed. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 1 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.

भारतीय विशिष्‍ट पहचान प्राधिकरण (यूआईडीएआई) ने आम लोगों को ऐसी अवैध कंपनियों के झांसे में आने के खिलाफ आ

गाह किया है जो स्‍मार्ट कार्ड के नाम पर प्‍लास्टिक पर आधार कार्ड छापने के लिए 50 रुपये से 200 रुपये तक वसूल रहे हैं जबकि आधार पत्र या इसका काटा गया हिस्‍सा या किसी सामान्‍य कागज पर आधार का डाउनलोड किया गया संस्‍करण पूरी तरह वैध है।

कुछ कंपनियों ने आधार के डाउनलोड संस्‍करण के सामान्‍य लैमीनेशन के लिए भी सामान्‍य से अधिक वसूलना शुरु कर दिया है।

यूआईडीएआई के महानिदेशक एवं मिशन निदेशक डॉ. अजय भूषण पांडेय ने कहा ‘आधार पत्र या किसी सामान्‍य कागज पर आधार का डाउनलोड किया गया संस्‍करण सभी उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए पूरी तरह वैध है। अगर किसी व्‍यक्ति के पास एक कागजी आधार कार्ड है तो उसे अपने आधार कार्ड को लैमीनेट कराने या पैसे देकर तथाकथित स्‍मार्ट कार्ड प्राप्‍त करने की कोई आवश्‍यकता नहीं है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि स्‍मार्ट आधार कार्ड जैसी कोई चीज नहीं है।

अगर कोई व्‍यक्ति अपना आधार कार्ड खो देता है तो वह अपने आधार कार्ड को निशुल्‍क https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in से डाउनलोड कर सकते है। डाउन किये गये आधार का प्रिंट आउट भले ही वह श्‍वेत या श्‍याम रूप में क्‍यों न हों, उतना ही वैध है, जितना यूआईडीएआई द्वारा भेजा गया मौलिक आधार पत्र। इसे प्‍लास्टिक कार्ड पर प्रिंट करने या इसे लेमिनेट करने की कोई आवश्‍यकता नहीं है।

अगर कोई व्‍यक्ति फिर भी चाहता है कि उसका आधार कार्ड लैमीनेट किया जाए या प्‍लास्टिक कार्ड पर प्रिंट किया जाए, तो वह इसे केवल अधिकृत समान सेवा केन्‍द्रों पर या अनुशंसित दर पर जो 30 रुपए से अधिक न हो, कीमत अदा करने के द्वारा आधार स्‍थायी नामांकन केन्‍द्रों पर ऐसा कर सकते हैं।

आम लोगों को सलाह दी जाती है कि अपनी गोपनीयता की सुरक्षा के लिए वे अपने आधार नंबर या व्‍यक्तिगत विवरणों को अवैध एजेंसियों के साथ इसे लैमीनेट कराने या प्‍लास्टिक कार्ड पर प्रिंट कराने के लिए साझा न करें।

ई-बे, फ्लिपकार्ट, अमेजन आदि जैसी ई-कॉमर्स कंपनियों को इसके द्वारा सूचित किया जाता है कि वे आम लोगों से आधार की जानकारी एकत्रित करने के लिए या ऐसी सूचना प्राप्‍त करने के लिए आधार कार्ड को प्रिंट करने या आधार कार्ड को अवैध रूप से छापने या किसी भी प्रकार ऐसे व्‍यक्तियों को सहायता करने के लिए अपने व्‍यापारियों को अनुमति न दें। ऐसा करना भारतीय दंड संहिता और आधार (वित्‍तीय एवं अन्‍य सब्सिडियों, लाभों एवं सेवाओं की लक्षित आपूर्ति) अधिनियम, 2016 के अध्‍याय-VI के तहत भी दंडनीय अपराध है।

The market continued to be marginally higher in morning trade with the Sensex rising 78.91 points to 25101.07 and the Nifty climbing 23.50 points to 7694.90. Pharma, banking & financials, auto and oil & gas stocks gained while metals stocks lost shine.

RBI declines to share details of banks inspection report

The RBI has declined to share details of banks inspection reports citing a section of the transparency law that exempts public authority from disclosing information that may prejudicially affect sovereignty, security or economic interests of the country. 

Replying to an RTI query, the central bank also said furnishing the requested information will disproportionately divert the resources of the public authority. 

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was asked to provide copies of all the annual financial inspection reports, concurrent audit or inspection reports carried out between 2007 and 2015 on foreign currency derivative contracts sold by the 19 banks that were earlier penalised by it.

Chinese consumer inflation came in a little under forecast on-year in March, while producer price

s were slightly better than expected. 

The consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.3 percent on-year in March, compared to a 2.5 percent forecast by a Reuters poll and in line with February's 2.3 percent on-year reading. Consumer inflation was down 0.4 percent on-month. 

"The real focus will be on food inflation," Angus Nicholson, market strategist at IG, said ahead of the data drop. Food price CPI jumped 7.6 percent in March compared to the same period a year ago.

The market continued its consolidation after a 2 percent loss in previous week as investors are eagerly waiting for fourth quarter earnings and outlook for FY17. 

The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 31.86 points to 24641.98 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 4.05 points to 7551.15 while the broader markets outperformed benchmarks. 

The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.2 percent each on positive market breadth. About 1016 shares advanced against 602 declining shares on Bombay Stock Exchange. 

Bharti Airtel gained 3 percent on acquisition of 4G spectrum from Aircel in 8 circles. 

Tata Motors, Adani Ports, ONGC, Sun Pharma, BHEL and Hindalco Industries rose 0.5-1.5 percent while Infosys, HDFC, Lupin, HDFC Bank, TCS, M&M, Dr Reddy's Labs and Cipla fell 0.5-1.8 percent.
